Ticker
displays "travel" information horizontally, typically from right to
left. Depending upon the manufacturer, ticker displays are
available in a wide varity of lengths, LED Colors, and display
abilities.

Based LED Displays |
Character based
displays consist of a Matrix of characters that can be
individually set. These displays are typically Monochrome
or
Tri-Color and limited to a single built-in font.
Depending
upon the manufacturer, these displays can be built with as many or as
few rows and columns as needed.

Matrix LED Displays |

Matrix displays consist of a matrix of leds (or pixels) that can be
individually set to create characters, graphics, drawings,
etc.
These displays are available as Monochrome, Tri-Color or RGB.
Depending
upon the manufacturer, these displays can be built with as many or as
few rows and columns as needed. |

| Plasma/LCD
displays accept video signals and, when coupled with a computer, are
considered Digital Signage. Plasma/LCD have no display
limitations but have the disadvantage of decreasing in brightness
over time and potentially suffering from "Burn-In". |
